Thanksgiving

Next Thursday is Thanksgiving – a time to give thanks for all those blessings we have received throughout the year.  It is also an opportunity where we can spend time with family and friends…whether it’s over a feast, watching football games, or even going to a movie. 

Thanksgiving can be one of the most meaningful holidays of the year…if we give it the right focus.  We need to thank God also for the difficult times too!  Because without them, we wouldn’t know how capable our God is in seeing us through them.  Even in the midst of our struggles, we should be joyful because he is here with us.  He is our strength and our refuge.

So this year on Thanksgiving, let us remember to thank God for all of his goodness, and to be grateful for all his blessings he has provided us!

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
