WPC SEYO Coaches Meeting - 12/12/2005
1) The Tri-Star Competition put on by SOC, will be held January 28, at La Serna HS. This is for boys and girls, ages 7-13. Registration begins at 8:30 AM. The competition will start at 9:00AM. Gift Certificates will be given to all participants, with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
2) SOC Pancake Tickets will be distributed in January. We assist in their fundraiser to help defer the cost of the insurance coverage for the entire SEYO Program. SOC returns a portion of the proceeds collected to each organization. More info to come.
3) Megalopolis Tournament (Gold & Silver) will be held March 11-12, 2006. Invitations may already been sent out. Other details to be determined in Jan.
4) UC Irvine Women’s Basketball is sponsoring SEYO Night, January 21, 2006 @ 7:00PM. All kids wearing their SEYO Jerseys get FREE ADMISSION. The women will be playing Cal State Fullerton. For High School players interested in going, they must first contact Kathryn Lee @ kathrykl@uci.edu, to prevent any issues regarding recruitment violations.
5) OCO has been providing Plyometrics Sessions at Rancho HS on Sunday Nights. They are opening these sessions to anyone in SEYO, including adults. Sessions run for an hour. For more info, contact an OCO Rep.
6) We have begun practices at the SCCCC for the majority of our teams. Please remember to monitor and police the facility. We are looking into establishing a long-term relationship. ONLY WATER is allowed in the gym. We will try to provide garbage cans by the side entrance to the gym. Thank you everyone for your attention in this matter!
7) We will the provide Clinics with Jason Wright if the interest level continues. We have scheduled the Midgets/Juniors form 12:00-1:00 and Pee Wee from 1:00-2:00. Please email Mark for sign-ups.
8) For those teams that missed the Picture Day, you will need to submit your pictures to Steve Sugimoto, it should include a 4x6 color team photo, and a photo I.D. sheet. His number is (714) 870-8966. The picture can be sent to SEYO Pictures, c/o Steve Sugimoto, 1824 Smokewood Ave., Fullerton, CA 92831. Deadline: January 29th.
9) We still need to collect VFW Tournament practice gym fees from some teams. Please take care of this ASAP! I will email those who may have forgotten. The fee is $100/team.
10) We would like to put together a newsletter again this year. Coaches and Team Reps, please consider submitting an article of your team and let us know about your team. If you have pictures, please supply a caption with it. There is no minimum word count, we just want to hear from you! We are trying for 2 newsletters;
Deadlines to be:
Dec. 31, 2005 for the first issue
Feb. 1, 2006 for the last issue.

11) Mark is trying to work out all practice times requests, please remember to be patient and flexible. Also, please let him know ASAP if you Do Not want or need gym time too!
12) We will be holding our Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser next year
on April 24, 2006, at Tustin Ranch Golf Club in Tustin. This tournament raises funds to help offset some the cost of providing our program. Team participation details will be given out in January at the next Coach’s meeting.
